we arrived at killington at around 9ish and we suited up. today we would hike 10 miles...which is a lot of hiking. The trail was remarkably smallabout 7 inches across, it was new to me i have usually hiked thw white mountains which are wide and tamed. anyways we got about halfway up the mountain when the birches changed into evergreens and it smelled like christmas. When we summited the first peak i relized why they are called the green mountains everything was green...moss covered everything. From here we hiked along a ridge for another 4-5 hours over another 2 peaks before we reached our first hostel. which is pretty much a shed.
sleep was horrid i forgot to mention i have a broken pinky toe that oi kept a secret so i could go. Also i had a chest cold so i was taking nyquil, i had the strangest dreams omfg like i giant salamander attacking me in a lake? and sleeping outside was strange. i met a man at this hostel by the name of trek. people have "trailnames" so i made mine edollo the fruitbat.next day we were awaken at 6 to make breakfast which was oatmeal....everyday.blurry sowy i was halfawake and robotripin
we got on the trail by seven and my back was killing me. this day wasnt a hard hike we pretty much stayed on top of a ridgeline so no real summits to hike, but my back flippen hurt. we descended from the ridge and found a little lake called pleiad. twould be my source of cleanliness
it was quite the spot and me and kyle are bringing up derek and dube there sometime, we then had to ascend another 4 thousand footer to get to our hostel. we reached it at 7 ish and the sun was going doen and the sunset was beautiful, and there wasnt a sign of civilization for miles...twas great.
my hands are tired i will finish later
